Our Quilting Process

Thread

Once your quilt top has been delivered or shipped to us, thread is carefully selected. There are over 200 colours of thread to choose from!

Thread can be matched to blend in or stand out on its own. The choice is yours! We only use top quality thread and is included in the quilting cost.

Digital Patterns

Our incredible longarm is computerized and does beautiful edge-to-edge or custom placement designs and motifs.

There are thousands of digital patterns available to make your quilt unique and distinguished! The possibilities are endless!

Batting

Batting is an essential part of all quality quilting projects. High quality batting adds strength, warmth, and comfort to all quilted projects.

High quality batting can be purchased though Quilt FX at an additional cost or you can bring, or send us your batting along with your backing, and quilt top!

Trimming

Once the quilting is complete, we offer a complimentary trim to keep your quilt nice and square.

All fabric trimmed off will be returned to you for those future scrappy projects!

Binding

You can bind your quilt once it's back home or we can bind it for you! At Quilt FX, we do both machine and hand binding for an additional cost.

Machine binding is quicker and cost effective. While hand binding is more labor intense, it is less noticeable.

Shipping

Yes, you can ship your quilt to us, for those finishing touches! We will send it back home to you when it's all done!

Return shipping is COD so you pay the shipping cost directly and no up charge!

Remember, before boxing up your quilt for shipping, protect it by placing it in a sealed plastic bag .
